any info on mariner of the seas

On august 1,2004 my mom and i will be sailing on mariner of the seas western carribbean cruise. We would love to hear about any cruise reviews,experiences and tips or information about the mariner. Also anyone who has sailed in a promenade room,are these rooms affected by the noise of the Royal Promenade at night? I would also love to hear from any other teens who have sailed on the mariner. Any information anyone has on this ship would be greatly appreciated

Read the boards, honey - there is plenty of information our here. Radio has a very in depth review and a "live from" post you can find and read. There are others though - lots.

We'll be going next weekend with 8 teens ages 12 - 17, so we can let you know some specific teen things when we get back.

Goaliegurl,Just sailed the Mariner on week of April 4th. I can tell you that "you are going to love the Mariner". She was my 9th cruise,and the most magnificent ship I've ever sailed. the cabins looking down on the promanade,looked really cool. I'm claustrophobic,and could never stand being cooped up in a regular inside cabin,but actually think I could stay in one of those.The windows are large,and make the cabins look quite airy.(is that a word?)Depending on which deck your cabin is,you may hear the excitement of the 2 parades,but I don't think the normal promanade activity should bother you at all. You do have to remember to pull your drapes,when you need privacy,as you can look into those cabins easily from the promanade. I take it your a teenager? Since my children are all grown,I have no personal experience with the teen activities.However,we did walk all around the ship on the 1st day,and it looked like they had a lot of cool stuff for teens to keep busy. It's all situated around the Johnny Rockets restaurant,which in itself seems like a great place for teens to meet.There's also miniature golf and inline skating,not to mention baketball and rock climbing.Don't worry,I'm sure you will have a blast. The ship is so huge,and incredibly beautiful.A week is just not long enough to see and do it all. If you have any specific questions,just ask. I'll do my best to answer.

Was on the Mariner in March, had a Promendae room first night was the latest the parade was and we were exhausted from traveling never heard a thing, didn't even get to the see the second one. We did the Eastern route, had a blast Want to go back again, Its a beautiful ship, big ship, try to do as much as possible, we tried putt putt but with 60 mile an hour winds kinda hard, we were rocking and rolling the first three days but didn't really seen many people sick from it. Just sit back relax and enjoy
