I Amsterdam City Card

My DW and I will be visiting Amsterdam for 3 days prior to our cruise departure. I am considering getting I AMSTERDAM CITY CARDS for the both of us. It seems like they are worth it.

What experience has anyone had with the I AMSTERDAM CARD?

I purchased the card on our three day post cruise visit. It was very nice. We visited the Van Gogh Museum, the Diamond Museum, Madame Tussuads ( we were with our kids) and used the public transport among other things.

It was very convenient and well worth it.

What experience has anyone had with the I AMSTERDAM CARD?

I never find that those city cards are worth the money. There are always plenty of things to see in a city that are free. You should definitely pay for a canal tour, however.

I bought one for a three day trip and thought it was excellent value.

I planned my trip to and really hammered the card, but at the same time didn't need to extend a visit to a location with an expensive entrance fee to try and extract some value.

And the free gifts you get are a nice bonus.

If you use the card for entrance to museums do you get to stand on a different, shorter line than the people waiting to pay their entrance fees? We are also considering the advantages of purchasing this card.

I'm also considering getting this card. I added up the fees for the places we wish to visit and it seems to be worth it. We may need to use the trams to get around and they are included as is a canal tour.

I'm interested in hearing of people's experiences with it.
