Be Honest, What do you budget per day for the casino?

riddle

Recommended Posts

I know we all have different levels of income but I often see someone say they "budget" so much per day for casino play. How much do you budget?

If you have winnings are they put away or added to the budget for future days?

I am not a high roller by any chance but I do love to go to the casino every evening for a while.

I gamble for entertainment rather than winning money and expect to lose about a third of my small bankroll.

Values are in british pounds but you get the idea.

Blackjack - £3 minimum bet, I take £150 per session

3 card poker - £3 minimum bet, £150 per session

Roulette 50p chips, £20 per session

On sea days I budget for 2 sessions. I cruise on P&O and there can be a lot of sea days. I usually take about £2000 for a 14 day cruise.

We don't really do a "daily" budget...just an amount that we won't mind if we lose! Some days, we stay in the casino for HOURS! Other days, we may only stop in for a short time.

We do about $200 per BJ session or Craps....much less for slots...they are for "killing time" only, so we don't feed them very well!

I normally budget $100 per sea day so it equates to roughly $100 per day. If I do not gamble in one or two of the sea days I will put the $100 to the next day.

I also budget an extra $100 for tournaments (blackjack mainly) and very rarely poker tournaments

Not sure what you are trying to get out of - but I imagine most of the larger players aren't going to respond with what they wager. The $1000 and less per day player will generally be more forthcoming in their bankroll - but the guy who has a credit limit in the casino isn't going to be that forthcoming. . .

I'm not a big spender by any means and do it just for fun. I have to admit, I've usually doubled my money or more on each cruise. I usually budget around $300-400 per cruise (not day), plus I buy the slot play coupons online ($50 for only $25) and buy the NCL deal ($20 for only $10) in addition. I've always seem to have good luck on the machines I play every time. But, I have a system. :D

Where do you buy the slot deals?

You go to slotplaycoupons dot com and buy them. They cost $25 and they give you $50 in casino play. (This is only for NCL ships, so I'm not sure which cruise line you are cruising with). Then I also buy the one's for the ship (which is for $10 and they give you $20 in play). :D

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO riddle: I usually buy in for $1,000 a day. I have lost the whole $1,000 a few times. Other times I have left the table with many times that. I don't add to the budget for future days. That is what I play with. I either lose or win. If things aren't going so well I always have the option of leaving. Sometimes things turn around.

For what it is worth...I usually bring/spend/"invest" $1000-$1200 on a 7 days cruise...and that is usually more..as I "reinvest"--any "winnings" during the course of the cruise ---

The slots are my entertainment...and I plan on spending what I bring..... ;)

Of course..if I ever hit a big one...I would bring it home :D

I don't have a budget, I play whenever I feel like it. Very rarely more than $50 at a time. Hubby plays more and had budgeted $300 per day on our recent Allure cruise. When we came home he had about $1000 in winnings.

When we cruised this past March (my first cruise), I think we spent about $100 per day, per person. Granted, part of it was due to us having an Inside Stateroom. For our next cruise, because we will have a balcony, we're currently budgeting $75 per day, per person.

MY hubby and I save any mad money that comes in during the year like bingo winnings, cash rebates from credit cards, etc. and that is the money we spend at the casino but sometimes not all of it. We only play the slots and most times, we don't come home with any profit to show but we do like playing anyway for the entertainment.

My husband gives me $200 per cruise (regardless of length) for playing the crap table. Doesn't sound like much. If I lose it, I'm done. Last cruise I never used the second $100 bill. Handed him the one $100 bill at the end of the cruise. And the $685 that the first $100 had grown to. <hee, hee>

That doesn't usually happen, so I'm thrilled.

I guess I'm not a die hard gambler, and I agree that if I lose the $200 I'm done gambling.

I budget myself to 200 a day. But I saw two women on the Carnival Miracle that did at least $2000 a day just on the roulettes.....;)

We budget approx 500 a day for the 2 of us but we play together at the machines. It would be too expensive to play seperately!
