Silversea

We are sailing on the Muse in 2017. Do the cruise line have FOD events? Any info would be gratefully received. We have only sailed with Celebrity before.

You can ask the cruise director to arrange an FOD gathering anapest it in the daily paper. You will find though that in smaller ships like Silversea "family" will find each other much more easily. Enjoy your cruise.

You will love Silversea. We've sailed them twice (once in Asia on the Shadow and once in Antarctica on the Explorer). First class operation all the way, and we'll definitely sail with them again. As wripro said, we didn't have any FOD gatherings, but there never was a problem meeting anyone. On the Asia trip, we were the only gay passengers on board (as far as I could tell), but we had an amazing time and enjoyed our fellow passengers very much. Everyone was quite welcoming (passengers and staff alike). You will be happy you picked Silversea.

We just did Asia on the Shadow this past March and were also the only gay couple. Makes not difference. But on most SS cruises there are several gay couples and you will meet them in the first day or two.

We just booked the Silver Muse for next June. We're really excited about trying Silversea after an extremely disappointing cruise with Regent this summer. The Muse looks amazing! And as others have said, it is really easy to meet other gays on these small ships.
