Any good beaches/shopping?

I'm booked on a mexican riviera cruise and I'm not really interested in doing any excursions this cruise. I'd rather relax at the beach and maybe do a little shopping. Does anyone have any good beaches that they have been to or good places to go shopping?

The best best for shopping is in Puerto Vallarta. You will find your best dels in the old part of town. Go past the main down town area near the bridges on the river. The bridge inland has a wonderful flea market. Prices are very competitive. The ships don't advertise them.
