It would be interesting, and possibly quite emotional, for those that regularly sailed on her, to once again be able stay on the QE2.
I wonder if they will make substantial changes to the public rooms?

Looks like QE2 has been saved
Based on the information from the following link, it looks like there will be no major changes to the QE2, that it will remain in Dubai, and that it will be a luxury hotel. What great news.

It would have been so wonderful if the Queen Elizabeth 2 was retired in either Southampton or New York City as the Queen Mary is now in Long Beach, California.
The QE2 was a well known and loved ship crossing from those two ports. Where she is now in Dubai is not where she should be. It is a shame that Carnival Corporation did not attempt to find a buyer in either the UK or the USA. Maybe Carnival could have done for the QE2 what Dubai is attempting to do now and kept her in the UK or USA. Terrence
