welcome aboard show

Shows are all timed around dining times. We always do the late seating and you can tell who is a first time cruiser by all the people that leave the show early to get to dinner. The MDR staff knows when the shows are and when they are over or starting, so there's no rush. There's usually plenty of time to get to each.

We've never been to a Welcome Aboard show that was completely full. People will still be unpacking, getting to know the ship and their cabin.

No Welcome shows on Oasis and Allure. It's a whole different deal on those ships. If you don't watch the TV, you wouldn't know who your cruise director is until such things as The Quest or Love and Marriage games. Too many people to be in one place at one time. That being said, It all worked out well on Oasis for us and the shows. Just different to what we were used to.
