We are traveling with a 16mo old to Grand Cayman and not using a cruise sponsored excursion. Do we need a car seat for transportation? I have read that we do and then some others that we don't need it. We were not planning to take the car seat with us on the cruise. Has anyone else used a shuttle or taxi with an infant and did you need a car seat? info is appreciated!

We never saw one being used on the 3 times we were there, and I think if they are needed they would be provided as they count on making money from tourists

Provided by whom? Law requires children to have appropriate restraints.

By the companies providing transportation. How many cruise ppl will arrive there and not be able to go on excursions due to not having a car seat?

Is your child safer with or without a car seat?

This is not about whether it is safe or not....do they require car seats on shuttles & buses ( I should have been more clear with my question) The question has already been answered. Thank you
