Default Choosing A Last Minute Cruise

Hi All,

Never cruised before so bare with me....

So I have been looking at doing a cruise early next year and I wanted to go with the Radiance Of The Seas until now, on the particular cruise & stateroom I was looking at the price managed to go up $800.00 overnight for my partner and I, which meant that we could no longer afford it.

I then started looking at the P&O Pacific Pearl cruises in February and thought that they seemed ok but I'm not sure on the ship, it seems quite old (built 1989) but recently refurbished. After speaking to some friends about it, they have said that it's more of a party boat for the young ones which I'm not really interested in, can anyone confirm this?

How well does it handle rough seas as opposed to a modern ship considering it's a smaller ship then say the Radiance?
And which deck would you recommend? I have had a look at the rooms on deck 5 cabin 5212 and deck 6 cabin 6218. Anyway any help would be appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Slim

Also I would go to the member review section of Cruise Critic and read recent reviews on the ship that you are considering.

I would also ask this on the Australia/New Zealand board here at CC. EM
