girls getaway

Hi,

I take a girls trip every year with about 9 other women. Every year I do something special for them. Little gifts just for fun. One year I know I made a bag up of small things such as

Tissues-for when we are laughing so hard we are crying

Tylenol-for the morning after

But I can't remember what else and for what I put in the bags.

Anyone ever heard of things like this? I want to make some up for some friends going on a different trip.

I won a trip at work recently- not a cruise. But my boss gave us little make up bags with emergen-c, sunscreen, Tylenol and breath mints. Best gift ever!

Here are some ideas - 100 Grand mini candy bars. Gum or mints, chap stick for smiles and kisses, band aides for going a little crazy, sun glasses cause the they shine so bright, shooters to start the trip off right, mini manicure set, water, instant tooth brushes, moist towelettes, ear plugs, face mask, tums, package of crackers, hair ties, makeup remover wipes, nuts...

Thanks for the suggestions. This is what I ended doing for my friends that were taking a trip:

Glow sticks-to keep the glow alive

Nips-start the party on the plane

tissues-you will be laughing so much you will be crying

beads-so you don't feel the "need" to earn them!

Hand sanitizer-keep it clean!

And an imaginary me parting right beside you.

I put everything in a bag with a print out explaining the items!

I am planning a cruise for my best friend and I to celebrate my 50th. I was planning on sending her little trinkets in the days leading up to the cruise via inter-office mail. We work in different schools.

Here is my list so far. We aren't leaving until Nov. so I keep trying to think of things.

Ocean scented soap

Small container of body lotion from Bath and Body works (the scent is beach related)

Individual frozen drink pouch - I saw them at the liquor store

Chapstick

Face sunblock

set of travel containers for shampoo, conditioner,

Aleive

Hand sanitizer

High Lighter for the cruise newsletter

Printed out copy of drink menu

Bingo - inker thingys

receipt for a pre-paid massage ( she is spending some big time $$ helping me celebrate my birthday - I have to say thanks somehow:)

And now I am adding tissues - love that idea! Maybe should include a Poise pad too.

In November we bought 4 ship ornaments that we had personalized with the first names of each couple (including us). Then at dinner on our cruise in March I handed them out to each couple, and everyone signed the backs of each other's. A fun memento.
