What to do for 8 hours b4 flight

Hello all,

Looking at flights for our feb 2018 cruise out of Miami. Our flight home would be 8:30pm sunday night out of Fort Lauderdale. So we would have roughly 8 hours to kill after getting off the cruise ship. We are a large group of about 35 people. Has anyone done a tour or been in the same situation and can give some ideas or advice on what to do with a group and a latter flight. Thanks!!!

With that many people and that much luggage a charter bus or ships excursion is the only thing I can think of...

Rent a bus with a few side trips, i.e. Everglades, Saw Grass Shopping Mall, large chain restaurant.

With that large number of people traveling it is possible not all want the same thing. Perhaps see if an earlier flight is possible. Or as suggested rent a bus to sightsee.

Busrates.com shows a charter bus price of 750-1200 for a full day. Not bad when divided by 35...

The city of Fort Lauderdale is now housing their homeless there. I would not stay at that motel.

To the OP, look for a group rate on the Water Taxi. An excellent way to spend the day.
