Beach by pier in Amber Cove

I would love more information and pictures about the free beach that is right to the left when you get into the port at Amber Cove. Anyone that goes to the free beach (not the Riu) and could provide more information it would be greatly appreciated.

There is no beach at the pier. You must be thinking of Grand Turk

According to what I read on Trip Advisor you have to exit the secured port area ( walking by the taxi stands ), staying close to the fence ....then at the end of the fence you will go back the way you just came from...on the other side of the fence. Then walk to the ocean.

I read that this walk can be semi longish, especially in the heat.

When Amber Cove first opened the fence was not as long ( you exited by taxi stands and walked straight to the beach ), they recently extended it.

Yes there is...just South of the port, North of Riu. Small free beach.

Do you need a taxi to get to a free beach if so, how much do they charge is it safe to take a taxi and go to this small beach?
