would anyone miss the hairy chest contest?

Instead of doing away with tried and true favorites (like live steel drum music, nightly sushi tasting, fish and chips on some ships) why not do away with this cheesy tradition? I mean, Carnival is all about change lately so why can't they figure out a new poolside contest already? I admit it can be kind of funny (especially when my mom was a judge) but my point is- I don't think this would bother ANYONE if they replaced it!

It's better than trivia and bingo. Not much else to do anymore on Carnival ships during the day.... Unless you like laying by the pool all day.

It really doesnt cost them anything to do this so they figure why change.

and yes some days at sea there really isnt much to do.

Some new activities or games would be very welcome

I miss it on every cruise as I always avoid it.

We enjoy it. Dear Wife judged it last cruise, had a blast.

If you got rid of it there would be a missing gap in the trip DVDs they want to sell you. :D

If folks need activities during the day Carnival should update activites. Oh yeah I forgot Carnival will charge $$$ for those activies, that is why Carnival started bingo around the pool area raises the revenue and build a bear for kids.

I could care less either way...However, I will say that it is always nice to watch people make fools out of themselves:D:D:D

We personally LOVE the trivia and Bingo, and the bean bag toss, etc. Plenty of other stuff to do, but since we are usually out at the Lido pool, we do watch.:o

I never avoid trying to see this, but usually only see it because we have prime seating location by the pool and don't want to move. :)

I think the competetition is stale and needs an update. Celebrity mixed this up by having a belly flop contest which was fun to watch.
