Sfo to fairbanks

Have a cruise tour next May that starts in Fairbanks. It appears there are no direct flights from San Francisco and Alaska is the best choice for a shorter time in the air.

Anyone been on another Airline that might have better connections or less travel time?

It looks like the earliest I can get there would be 7:45 pm. Might want go go the day before. What have others done?

7:45 PM is a good time to get there.

Many flights arrive 10 PM or later.

I highly recommend going in a few days earlier and rent a car to see the area. You see very little of Fairbanks with cruisetours. Another issue is your time, It is far superior to go north in May, due to Denali Park not being open far enough until June 1. If you didn't know this, you may want to find out more before you book anything else.
