Hello I have been looking at hosted singles cruises available through the places we can't mention. I am normally a Carnival Cruiser and have enjoy all 10 of my cruises with them. What about the other cruise lines? I am asking because some of the singles cruises I am looking at are on other cruise lines.

The major lines are more similar than they are different. That plus you end up interacting with the other people in the group enough that even if you don't like the ship they will have something to keep you entertained. I have yet to have a horrible cruising experience on any line and I have only booked through the places that we can't mention.

I have cruised about 8 times as a solo with NCL. Sometimes I pay double, most of the times I get a discount all the way down to paying only for one. They have a great singles meeting every night, a meet and greet. I am 53 and married, but hubby can not cruise as much as I can. NCL also has the Studio rooms on the Breakaway and Getaway and maybe even the Escape. Check them out.

I too am a Carnival fan, my next cruise in October on the Carnival Dream is 21 days solo, so you know I like them.

Still, I did NCL Epic earlier this year as a solo cruiser and they were great! If you are going solo they are the cruise line I would recommend if you are trying out something new.

From my limited experience Holland American is not for the single cruiser unless they like going to the tea party or late night buffet where people just mix and talk. Good social get-to-gathers but clearly not party city.

I don't know enough about the other cruise lines to have a judgement. Who are you looking at?
