Transportation question from LAX to long beach

Good morning !! We are staying at a hotel near LAX and have a rental car for a few days before cruising. We are taking an uber to Long Beach. My question is: should my whole family load up the rental and return it to LAX and catch uber from there ? Or should I leave my family at the hotel, take the rental back myself, shuttle back to hotel and take uber from there ? Make sense? Haha

Pick up Uber at the hotel. You won't have to schlep the others and the baggage that way. Also, not sure how it is at LAX, but at some airport, there is an additional fee to be paid even by Uber for pickups on premises.

Did you get an estimate from Uber for that long of a trip? I'd be curious how much it is.

My sister did from lax and it was $35 I believe. I also have $20 off coupon so that'll help.

Great advice!! Plus loading car, unloading, and then loading back uber at airport would be a pain.
