I am happy for Dan'Dan getting moved to the Breakaway but sad for myself. I have never seen such a warm hearted entertaining CD in all of my cruises. He is so approachable and I swear he never sleeps.

How often are the CD's changed? We had Dan Dan on the Gem in July 2014, and we'll be on the Breakaway next June. Do you think he will still be there? My kids loved him!

Cruise Director's schedules are 4 months on a ship and 2 months off.

Usually they serve one ship for 3 or 4 years and then are moved to another. It is a little like being in the military. With the newest ship the Escape now on line, schedules for a lot of staff have changed a bit. Very hard to say who is where right now.

Just off the Breakaway Dan Dan is not the CD its Scott.

Scott is going on vacation, so I suspect Dan Dan (great guy and yes Dan Dan does sound juvenile to some ears maybe it's a nickname w cultural meaning? ) will replace him.

I just did Breakaway w Scott (nice guy) but ship did have a different feel compared to when Julie was CD.
