Aft suites

Recommended Posts

Having always booked mid ships I am finding an increasing number of ships now have the suites at the stern - Princess - Grand Princess, Ruby Princess etc. Celebrity -Solstice Class, P&O's Ventura etc. I would be very interested to hear if these suites are prone to suffer engine noise or vibration either generally or when manoeuvering. As a light sleeper I do appreciate peace and quiet.

Some years ago had a cabin towards the stern (JD Class) on Aurora (before the engine refit) and was conscious of engine noise crossing the Atlantic and in anything more than calm seas. After the engine refit on another trip did not notice the noise.

Grateful for all advice and opinions as looking to book ex Southampton UK.

Many thanks

when we book Princess we change our week so we can get C753 (carribean, Crown and Ruby)

although just a regular BB category balcony cabin. We have not experienced any noise issues.

Be mindful of whats below you - google cabin numbers because on Princess boards they do tell you of beams blocking views, or noise from vents.

Many people loved the aft-- but many people do not.
