Default Carnival Spirit in Auckland today (4 Feb 2013)

Today the Carnival Spirit came to Auckland, the first time a Carnival ships has every been to New Zealand.

It was not a very nice day in Auckland (very grey and overcast, with drizzle) for her first visit:

This is the first time Auckland has had rain in about 3 weeks!

Already enjoyed the following

Sea Princess - New Zealand Dec 2012
Sun Princess - Indian Ocean Odyssey May 2011 - 46 nights
Pacific Jewel - Pacific Islands
April 2010
Travelled throughout Australia for 20 years & still do. If I can't be on our big blue oceans then can I be under a gum tree?

That would be a drought in NZ, wouldn't it?

Seriously, Carnival Spirit looks beautiful all lit up at night.

That would have been about the only day of rain that Auckland has had all year. We got about 10 minutes of drizzle yesterday. All the other ships in (including the Dawn Princess today) have had fabulous weather. So jealous!
