Wine and Beer Packages on the Majesty

Friends of ours have just booked a weeks cruise on the Majesty in late March; they have not booked the AI package as they do not anticipate drinking 400 Pounds worth of drinks!

They came to us with a few questions re. drinks packages - as we have always had AI and have not sailed on the Majesty we are unable to help so would greatly appreciate help on here. Their queries are:-

1. What does the Wine package contain - number of bottles and how many of each colour or all ohne colour?

2. Are you limited to just one Wine package per cabin?

3. What does the Beer package consist of?

4. Can you buy both the Wine and Beer packages or just one?

5. How do you go about ordering drinks off the package - do you tell the waiter/waitress when ordering?

1 When we were on (it could have changed a bit) there were wine packages of different types - so much for so many bottles. There were different combos ; red/white/red & white. We bought into one package of red with X bottles (6?) and could select any of the varieties within that package - one of each, all the same, two of three different ones, whatever - you get the idea. We were impressed with the choice and flexibility. Beer was so many bottles (was that 35?) for a set price. Sorry don't know what the choice was here.

2. No as far as I know you can buy as many as you like. (We were offered wine packages on Dream on our recent trip and were told that we could only buy into it for the first 24 hours - why? - but it was offered again later in the trip but don't remember anything like that on Majesty)

3. Sorry can't help with that other than what I said above

4. Yes

5. We were given vouchers for however many bottles we had bought and we just traded them in whenever we wanted another bottle. They will see from the voucher what you have bought into so you choose from within that package. It appears on your onboard account as a £0.00 transaction.

We found it good value, very straightforward and a good option for passengers who don't have AI
