You could look at some of the stateroom photos and descriptions by other Cruise Critic Members here of the Eurodam: http://abqreunion2008.com/Eurodam/index.html

Or here of her sister ship Nieuw Amsterdam: http://abqreunion2008.com/Nieuw_Amsterdam/index.html

The largest inside cabins on the E-dam are the I-category on an upper deck (I forget which deck), and the J- & K-category cabins on Main Deck only. Those cabins are larger, by almost half again, than the outside cabins across the passageway.

The large I cabins are only on decks 6 (Upper Promenade) and 8 (Navigation). EM

Main Deck may not be the most desirable, however, the J&K are decent size.

Main Deck is my preferred deck, and I like to be forward. But I like being low down (less motion) and I love being able to hear docking and anchor noises.

I can tell you if you are looking at ocean-view cabins, 1001 and 1002 are slightly larger than other category F cabins, and I have never heard noise from the show lounge. In fact, unless I opened the door at the right time, I never knew when the shows were on/letting out. Some people consider the location bad, but I prefer it to other locations. Likewise, some people feel that the fact that the cabins are shower only is a drawback, but I prefer the shower-only cabins to cabins with tubs.

Not a single reason I can think of. I have stayed in several Main Deck insides, on both port and starboard, on the Vista and Signature ships.

The only reason main deck is less preferable to us is that if we are on deck 4 or 5 we use stairs to go to most places whether up or down. When we are on main deck going to say Lido, we often grab an elevator rather than climbing up so many stairs. We walk down regardless of deck.

Thanks for the tip on the cat I cabins on the higher decks, never knew those were larger. Is this true on the Vistas also?

Also, after looking at the photos on Joanie's site (thanks for such a helpful site, Joanie!) the I's on deck 6 and J's on deck 8 have a slightly different layout, but look very cramped compared to the J's and K's on Main deck. Can anyone who has stayed in these cabins confirm that they're larger?

As far as these cabins go, the Vistas and the Signature ships are the same. Some of the spa cabins are different in the two classes of ships, especially when it comes to the balconies.

The J- & K-cabins on Main Deck are significantly larger than the same category cabins on the higher decks. Significantly.
