We are thinking of taking the hop on hop off bus....but just hopping on for one of the complete circuits. Is there a local bar/restaurant near the tender dock at Fuerte Amador we can stop in before getting back to the ship? We are on an Azamara cruise arriving Monday, March 23rd at 6am.

There are a couple of bars and a beverage store near the tender drop off. The Hop on Hop off bus can be OK, but some friends on our last cruise had a bad experience--very poor commentary and the driver ignored some of the stops. Traffic was terrible, as usual, so they saw very little. They ended up complaining and getting a refund. Once you get away from the tender port taxis are really cheap in Panama and traffic is awful--if you walk a little down the causeway you may be able to do better fare wise. Be mindful of that in planning your day--leave plenty of time to get back to the ship.
