Considering World Cruise on Elizabeth for Jan 2018. Has anyone any experience of the Balcony CB cabins with obstructed view ( Decks 4 and 5). How badly is the view obstructed? Can you see anything besides the lifeboat ? Does it make sitting on the balcony and unpleasant experience as you feel hedged in? Is Deck 4 better than 5 or vice versa? Any thoughts help advice would really be appreciated. Thank you

we always use CB cabins obstruction is minimal, lifeboats visible below, obstructions greater in CA cabins which are classed as amidships

CB are well placed between two lift stations and minimum ship movement in bad weather

I was in QE 5136 (partially obstructed deck 5) for the World Cruise 2015. It is just fine! The balcony is a little smaller but perfectly adequate. The position re the whole ship was great for the rougher seas we encountered crossing the Atlantic. There is nothing in front of the balcony glass, just a small bit of winching equipment to the left. The only down side was not being able to see the sea directly below but there was very little obstruction otherwise. The lifeboat/tender is below the level of the balcony and does not obstruct the view. I did not visit any deck 4 staterooms but the lifeboats/tenders are at that level.

I hope this helps. (The World Cruise was fantastic.......)
