We are looking to return to Star Clippers this time on the Royal Rome-Venice June 2017. Currently have Cabin Cat 2 no 234 reserved, however also considering a Cat 3 maybe 250 or 248 (has fixed double) anyone been in any of these cabins care to advise?

We tend to go in Cat. 2 around 234 / 236 (236 booked for a forthcoming trip) - they are very convenient for the stairs to the main deck. As 250 / 248 are in the atrium area there might be a little more passenger movement there around meal times.

We decided to go for 250 in the end, the difference can go towards our pre-cruise stay in Rome... and post-cruise in Venice. I'm sure we will be very comfortable :D

Maybe get up early in the morning as the RC enters Venice and make your way up to the open part of the bridge (starboard side) to see Venice from that perspective. We have sailed from Venice on the RC - fond memories.
