Weather was almost perfect, it only rained the afternoon of the last day at kauai. Our cabin was an aft balcony on deck 8, and was very comfortable. While there was not an abundance of rooms, using the space under the bed for suitcase storage made it work well (actually had some hotel rooms that were smaller in Carmel by the Sea, and cost almost as much).
Never tried the upgrade dining rooms as the included meals were as good as many restaurants. After the first morning generally had breakfast on the aft deck 11 (Aloha cafe portion). Dinner was mostly Skyline and Liberty.
I would recommend this to others who want to see most of Hawaii.
The picture is sunset at Maui from our balcony.
