Helps to know what part of Greece. Will you mainly be in one spot or all over the place ? It is really pretty spread out since alot of it is made of islands.

Greece is very Greek. Which is good because that makes it more fun :D

If by Americanized you mean do most people speak English......many do but some don't. Most involved in the tourist sector do, altho we had a taxi driver in Athens who didnt speak much !!!!!! When he was taking us from the Plaka to our ship, he kept pointing to every ship we passed and we were the very last one......so we kept doing our hands to say "keep going" and he figured it out. Ah.... its those experiences which make traveling interesting.

Sorry, should have given more specifics.. here goes.

Location: Mainland: Athens, Levadia ( 90 min from Athens), Arochova- ski area

Yes, we would be visiting relatives. When I ask them this question they say:

"You no worry..you just come." I don't want to be embarrassed w/o gifts. You know how it is......

I have read travel bks, they're very vague.

we will have a rental car.

Thanks, Robyn
