I know on a professional point e-mails goes a lot further than a petition. You have the opportunity to expressive how you think it would benefit them. I would suggest to all of us that would love to see a drink package to e-mail them and state your case.

I just got off the Splendor and there was a drink package. I do not remember the price per day though.

3 levels:

1) unlimited soda only

2) unlimited soda plus beer, wine and well liquor and

3) unlimited soda, beer, wine, well liquor and also all premium liquors as well.

I remember it being pretty pricey, but likely worth it if you drink that much. Sodas can add up.

I'm going with a big group on September 16th and we have a drink package. We had to have a certain number of people (30, I think) though. We had three choices. It's great because if you have 6 or 7 drinks a day it pays for itself and that's easy to do with a couple during the day and wine with dinner and a couple at night dancing. You can spread it out and not get "black out" drunk!

I would suggest to all of us that would love to see a drink package to e-mail them and state your case. Europe got it due to overwhelming request. In an article I read they said they gave it to them because they are use to all-inclusive vacations and in my e-mail I said some of us are too. That is why we take land bases all-inclusive vacations.

The more that e-mail the more chance we have. So tell all your friends

I'm sorry but I don't understand the attraction of the drink package. As I understand the cost of the beer package, you would need to have 7 beers a day every day just to break even. I don't drink that much and I don't think it's good policy to encourage people to have more than 7 drinks day. I'll also suggest that the vast majority of cruisers don't want to be around people that are drinking that much. If people want to purchase more than 7 beers a day, everyday, thats fine but I hope that RCCL doesn't adopt an unlimited alcohol package.

Please follow the links and tell RCCL not to offer unlimited alcohol packages

For us it is so nice just not dreading the bill that will be waiting at home at the end of the cruise. It is a vacation and running the bill in your mind or worse yet checking it every day detracts from the relaxation.

We have done the premium alcohol package on Celebrity the last 2 cruises, and have it purchased for our Celebrity cruise this October. We didn't drink more or less because of it. In my opinion, it all comes down to what you are comfortable with, I just enjoy knowing we prepaid our bar tab.

I just sent the request to ask if Royal would offer what Celebrity has offered since 2010 I believe. We are booked on the FOS October 2013 and it would be great if they offer it.

:)

With the current media flair up on alcohol consumption by underage drinkers on RCL this might not be needed.;)

Sorry Johnny, I still don't get it. Rather than worrying about running up the bill or checking for an error, you agree to pay more??? FYI you can get incorrect bar bill charges even if you don't buy a drink.

Please RCCL, No Unlimited Alcohol Packages

I would also love to see the package. If it hasn't increased the drunks on Celebrity, why would it increase the drunks on Royal?

If you have a mimosa in the a.m., 2 beers at the pool in the afternoon, a pre-dinner cocktail, a glass of wine at dinner, a drink at the show, and a drink at the dance lounge - a person of normal weight and who eats enough at meals will not be an out of control drunk. And who doesn't overeat on a cruise?

For me that would add the convience of having my daily multi diet coke habit included instead of the mimosa and at least one of the afternoon drinks. And I could order unlimited ginger-ale's in the evening between drinks without paying extra. Yeah - I do that because I like having a drink in hand during evening activities and don't want to get stupid drunk - espicially if I'm in the Casino.

Honestly, most people out grew the "let me get wasted drunk" stage in our early 20's. We learned a long time ago about the hangovers, the porcelian goddess, and the even worse consequences of the out of your mind drunk. Saying that - I can agree with suspending the sell of the packages during Spring Break periods.

Hey mech, it still doesn't make sense from a financial perspective. I've only seen prices for a beer package, I don't know if there is a drink anything you want package. But if we assume there is, you still only list 7 drinks for that day and that is the break even point. Just pay for whatever you want to drink and you'll still be ahead. I have no doubt you won't be a falling down drunk, but there will be plenty of others more than willing to assume that job. Please no unlimited alcohol.

If these packages were not profitable for Celebrity, they would not continued to be offered. So apparently, there is no increase in the falling down drunk belief you keep offering up as an objective. Since it works elsewhere on Royal and works on Celebrity, what is it that makes you assume that American passengers on Royal are less responsible then American passengers on Celebrity or International passengers on Royal?

Please Royal -give us a choice.

Off topic - Army Wife Fisher - You have a very beautiful family. And I have tons of respect for you as an Army wife during these trying times. I had it easy as I was one during the lull between Vietnam and Desert Storm. Can not imagine how difficult it is during these last 11 years. God Bless you and your family.

Yes it is offered on the international ships 3 of them but not on the US based ship. Sorry should have stated to get it on the US based ship eamil RCCL.

Which international ships? Do you know if it is on the Serenade's European itineraries? I can't find anything about this on the RCCL website.

Its certainly not on the A O S this summer as we sail in 4 weeks and the only things offered are the wine packages ie Gold Silver and Platinum

It's only offered on the Independence, Grandeur, Splendour and Legend.

I wish they would make the packages like the Celebrity package, i.e. also including coffees, soft drinks and water. We made great use of our Classic Package on Celebrity without all the drinks having to be alcoholic (although many of them were ;) )

I am with you on this , the package was on independence and all members in a stateroom had to buy it , this does encourage people to drink more to get their money's worth , resulting in people drinking too much , we witnessed it on our cruise , I think it's a bad idea , it would be ok if the people on it drank in moderation but we saw people chucking it down their necks to make sure they got their money's worth .

Hey Trainman, I think those numbers are supposed to be the per day cost. The unlimited soda package is about $6-$7 per day, so beer is still more expensive than soda

But I think the cost quoted by the Army Wife are wrong... Here's the costs I've seen published in other places.

" The packages are available in three tiers. The Beer and Wine Package costs $29 per person per day and includes all beers, glasses of house wine, and a 25% discount on all other wines and liquor.

The Classic Package costs $39 per person per day and includes all beers, house wine by the glass, all liquor except for premium and specialty brands, cocktails and a 25% discount on all other wines and premium liquors.

And the Premium Package will set you back $49 a day and includes everything in the Classic Package plus glasses of wine that normally run up to $10, premium liquor brands, and a 25% discount on all glasses of wine over $10 and bottles of wine."

That's still a lot of beer/booze to drink everyday on the cruise
