Berlin with Alla tours

Can anyone share their experience with Alla Tours in Berlin? We will be docked in Rostock and thinking of doing this tour with Alla as part of multiple city package tour including St. Petersburg and Tallinn.

We toured with Alla in both St. Petersburg & Berlin. Our tours were simply fabulous! Alla is a delight to work with.

Berlin - we got off the ship as soon as it cleared. Our driver was waiting for us & our group was on our way well before any of the ship tours departed. The drive to Berlin was about 2.5 hours in a comfortable, air conditioned van. Our guide on the drive from port to Berlin kept us entertained with informative stories about Germany & she also had a great sense of humor. We had one rest stop both to and from Berlin.

When we arrived in Berlin, our German guide met us. He was superb and a wealth of information about Berlin. We saw all sights listed on our itinerary. We also had time to visit the Pergamon museum (which was a "must see" for us as it houses the incredible Ishtar Gate & Pergamon Altar). We had contacted Alla prior to booking with a request to see the Pergamon museum in Berlin ... she accommodated our wish with no problem. We visited the museum for an hour an a half while others enjoyed their lunches at a local restaurant (we grabbed a German sausage & drink from one of the kiosks located on Museum Island).

We arrived back to port with plenty of time to spare. We had a wonderful time & I would recommend seeing Berlin if this may be your only opportunity. Berlin is a big city and is, IMHO, best visited for several days to really experience what the city has to offer. However, the daytrip via Alla offers a very fine "taste" of the city.

FIRST CLASS.

We were on the Alla tour in Berlin last month. We were disappointed because we had torrential rain most of the day plus there was an event going on that messed up the traffic flow; along with road construction. Our guide tried to work around the misfortunes; but it was a challenge. We still got to see an awful lot. The problems we had would have been an issue for anyone group going in to Berlin that day.
