black sea on msc Voyager

Hi just joined up, is anyone else going on voyages of discovery black sea cruise on the 8th October. We have sailed before on Discovery but not the new ship. We have booked a couple of tours with the company but I know that cruise critic does sometimes organise tours. This I found out on our last cruise earlier in the year.

Any suggestions on what to do in Istanbul as we have been there before and do not want to do any of the offered tours. We wanted to go for a good turkish massage in a traditional hammam. Anyone any suggestions or names of suitable options please

Actually, we are on the same cruise and spent considerable time in Turkey last year. There are several Hammams, but there is one in the old quarter that is old and traditional. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name, but your hotel concierge should know it. Ask for the "old one" not any of the new ones.

There is a male entrance and a female entrance. I went for the "super treatment" and was scrubbed from head to toe. Loved it.
