HELLO EH!!!!!! MSC DIVINA REVIEW April 29th to May 5th

Here I will attempt to do my review on the MSC DIVINA cruise that we took and just got back yesterday May 6th. Please bare with me on this review it maybe long to write as I tend to get busy with life and work, but I will promise you I will try to do some writing everyday. This my first time doing a review with pictures as well. I took over 1200 pictures on my Nikon D5000, Galaxy S6 phone mounted sometimes to a DJI OSMO mobile gimbal (Virgin Trial Run), and an SJ4000 cam similar to a GoPro Hero 4 and half the price.

First of all a little background about me. I am a 52 year old man, my DW also cruised with me as this was a birthday gift to her (not giving her age because it's polite) We live in Southern Ontario Canada (Hence the red typing and also because I am a fan of the Detroit Red Wings hockey team).I chose my handle because as I stated previously my love for hockey and of course the number I wore while playing hockey as a goalie. We got the cruise bug in 2013 as you can see by my signature. We have cruised Carnival, NCL and now MSC

Hopefully in this review of our adventure I will add a sense of humoUr (yes us Canadians spell it with a U like coloUr) some beautiful pictures of our cruise, inside the Divina, places we went to, and any questions you have I will try my best to answer them in a timely fashion.

NOW ON WITH THE ADVENTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@hockeyguru32,

Looking forward to your review as we sail on the Divina in just over a month.

You might wanna preview your post before hitting "submit" as it is currently full of code and VERY hard to read.

Our adventure begins April 27th at 11:00am we left our city and headed under the pond via Windsor/Detroit Tunnel to see the Tigers take on the Seattle Mariners. Game time was to be at 1:15pm but the skies opened up around noon and poured.

Since it was raining we stayed under cover walked around the ballpark and I was asked to give an interview but politely declined.

Got to see the star pitcher (in my mind) for the Tigers Justin Verlander

A review by a Canadian...awesome! And I had to laugh at the "aboot". We spent years living a stones throw away from British Columbia, and I miss that accent.

Looking forward to more! Wish I could say that I hope the Tigers won, but I still love the Mariners from "back in the day". Seeing Verlander is very cool though!

I use photobucket and both of those actions will cause the images to be non visible.

moving images causes a loss of the link. you can copy them to a new location but not move them, unless you haven't made any links anywhere or are just using the site to store them.

private means just that; they are private

PS I'm glad you know how to spell humour and colour perhaps you even know through

Thanks Jen, Verlander pitched a GEM of a game. Rod Regaze pretty sure that's how his last name is spelled (hooked on phonics) came in the 9th and

BLEW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tigers lost 3-2 :') but it was a great game and day ended up almost perfect :D

I'm confused. Is it me and my computer? Or, are pictures not showing up? OP, I think you're choosing the wrong pics, as the only ones I see don't seem to be of the cruise or ship?

you haven't read the narrative

this is the narrative for the first pictures

there was an issue with the images in posts #5 and #6

which has now been resolved

What do you do when you are at a ballgame. Of course the obvious to me is to watch the game, and I did that. I also want to order a beer and a dog what is more American than that? I know apple pie and Chevrolet (this review doesn not reflect my taste in any products or services). I digress..... I hear COLD BEER ANYONE...... COLD BEER? Yes sir 1 beer please Miller Lite or Coors Light sir? A tune runs in my head ...........If you got the time we've got the beer..... I reply Miller please. That will be $9.50 sir. No I just want the beer not shares in Miller stock. It's still $9.50 sir. Really $9.50 for a beer that's like a trillion Canadian, well more like $12.825 (35% on the dollar ouch) ok ok $12.85 they do not make pennies here anymore because it costs more than a penny to make them so we are like our Australian counter parts who round up or down to the nearest nickel.

We also get weighed down with Loonies and Toonies our 1 and 2 dollar coins ( our 1 dollar coin has a loon on it so we call it the loonie). Trying to give some Canadian factoids as I go along if you don't mind.

Next I patiently wait for the hotdog vendor. Then I hear that sweet sweet sound no its not the night shift it's the HOTDOG GUY.....Nothing could be better on a now sunny day at the game and savouring that first ballpark frank of the year. It's almost as good as sex ok ok not that good but close enough for the girls that I go out with now (no I do not go out with other women I have been married for almost 30 years).

I see the vendor he yells again HOTDOG get your American Wienies here. I retort YUP!!!!!!!!!!! as if I was at a storage wars auction. How many sir I will take 2 my good man. Of course I have to get one for the birthday girl right? What a good husband I am. That will be $9.00 sir. Well it's cheaper than the beer I was thinking only 1 million dollars Canadian (insert Dr. Evil emoji here) I get a pack of mustard as in my opinion mustard is the only condiment allowed on a hotdog. I get my first taste and skyrockets in flight afternoon delight. I said to my DW ahhhhhhhhh is this heaven she replies no it's Comerica Park. I could have sworn it was heaven.

The Birthday girl and me

I'm really looking forward to this review since I'm going on the Divina for Christmas and New Years 2017/2018 (it will be my 1st MSC cruise, I have cruised many times on other lines) and I'm also from Canada (I live in Burlington, Ontario). You're off to a fantastic start and I can't wait to read more (and see more pics). :D I'd love to see as may pics of the ship (both inside and out). What ports did you go to?

My million dollar scrumdillyicious ballpark frank

hotdog_zpspgxrvkxo.jpg

The game as previously stated was awesome, however, my Tigers lost 3-2. The beer and dog were excellent and we had great seats. After the game we headed to our hotel for the night as we had a plane to catch to FLL (Fort Lauderdale) for a thing called a cruise.

As I've said before, I love my hockey and here is a pic of the new state of the art Little Caesars Arena still under construction, and no the real Caesar does not live here. It is the new home of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons, it will open up in September when Kid Rock will perform a concert. Wings will start in October.

Stardate April 28th 2017

I am up at 4:00am why? Because I'm like a kid on Christmas morning and can't wait to get the day going. We booked our flights on Jet Blue for $432.50 CDN return.

We left the room at 4:30am and left our car at Airlines Parking across form the HOJO. We were at the Airport at 4:45am quick and painless. Tipped our driver for the service he provided and checked in with out bags both under 50 pounds, well done DW and mine weighed more than hers all those shoes I have and hair products. Easy peasy so far uh oh spoke to soon here comes security. Went thru the long line and I'm thinking why are there so many people here already, waiting is not my forte. We put our things through the scanner everything came out BUT BDAY Girls carry on. Mr. Security comes over and says "whose bag is this?" DW in her shy timid voice mine sir. They opened up her bag and dumped it on the stainless steel table. Mr. Security inquires, "What's this ma'am?" my reply to Mr. Security was uh oh they got your stash, I told you they would catch it.

She was carrying our GPS and with our GPS we have a circular sand filled mat to put on the dash instead of sticking it to the windshield. Mr. Security looked at me in a not so funny look and I don't think my comments impressed him, I got an elbow from bday girl oh well. Mr. Security said you know what this looks like on the scanner. I said yes sir and my DW was as red as this typing. He put it thru the scanner again and swabbed her belongings in her bag. And I said to Mr. Security I told you she was a clean girl (trying to get my attaboy points back) Mr. Security cracked a smile and told us to get lost and don't ever do that again, I'm kidding he wished us a nice flight, I got dressed and put my belt on then we were off to find Flight 2289 departs DTW at 7:15am from Gate D17.

We got to D17 and look what I see

Our bird is at the gate we got thru security at 5:45. Time to find something cheap and quick to eat, Rotten Ronnies it is (McDonald's) to the sum of Mc$18 and change for a Sausage McMuffin hash brown and tea for me and A McGriddle for DW quick yes cheap no the food that is not DW.

We finally got the instructions to board at 6:40am looked for our seats in 18 D/E and left the gate at 7:10
