I am cruising on the Freedom of the Seas in June(12th cruise) and decided to do my time dining(first time).
Royal Caribbean is forcing me to pay the tips 70 days before sailing, not automatically add to your bill.
I questioned this practice and was to that is the way it is and if I do not want to pay the tips early, I would have to fix my dining.
I find correlation between my time dining and paying tips before sailing, this is the same as calling for a dinner reservation and having to pay the tips at the time you make the reservations.
Totally confused and unhappy!

The cruise lines would be better served to stop playing games and just include the "tips" (actually the crew's salary) in the cruise fare. I realize that would mean a $700 per person inside for a week would now be $770, but it would save a lot of end of the cruise problems.
