Good morning!

Lois, I have friends who have done very well on WW-the most successful ones combined their program with regular exercise. It can start easily with a walk at lunch. Hang in there.

Hope Kent has continued to play problem free golf. Putting has usually been a comparatively strong point for me, but have lost the touch. Only played about 6 times, so am confident all will be well. I think one of the hard parts of early golf is the condition of the greens.

Actually had frost warnings here the last couple days, but it has warmed up nicely.

Off to poker today.

Hasta luego

Hi Bob,

Just wanted to mention that the LPGA Open is being played at Lancaster Country Club this year in July. Annika Sorenstam was here yesterday to promote the event and played the course with a 74, four over. Sure wish I could get out to see the Open as the course is only about 6 miles away, but I have to stay with June Oh well, it's supposed to be on NBC

Lois...does your condo development have any exercise equipment on site? Does it have a pool? When you go home at night could you walk around your area or do anything like swim or exercise in your area? I am only saying this because you were saying how you couldn't walk during lunch.

Dan...Can June have a friend keep her company while you went to the golf tournament on a day or two? They are a lot of fun to go to and walk around watching someone you like.

Kent played golf today and managed to make it around for all 18 holes. I played golf with my lady friends in our 9 hole group and hit the ball the best I have done in a long time. I had a 45, and if I had putted better, it should have been around a 40. It was one of those rounds where I didn't miss hit one shot on the whole 9 holes, but I had too many 3 putts.

Good morning!

Glad you and Kent are enjoying golf down there. I have gotten in the habit of playing 9 early in the day-usually first on the course-and have really enjoyed that. I will often play two balls, and hit other practice shots. Parred 6 out of 9 holes yesterday. Putting is starting to come around. The main thing for me is to get the speed right, and that is happening. I have also been experimenting some with shaping shots and to my surprise it is not all that hard. The main thing is to not be tentative.

Lois, I only suggested lunch as that is when I used to walk when I worked. I was near a mall and went there when weather was bad. The important thing is to commit some time every day to exercise of some sort. At first it is difficult to do, but after a couple weeks many people come to treasure and look forward to that time. I have a friend who lost a ton of weight through WW and I think he has become a guide. Do they have those down there?

Dan, Carol had a good idea. I love to see the pros in person-particularly the women. I can relate to their game more. I used to go to a Futures tour tourney in Morgantown for years and last year I played that course, which was really fun...and humbling!

Where's TS? Hope some good news job wise.

Hasta luego

We are leaving for Maryland tomorrow so I will try to get some pool time in. Kent is going to play golf again today. The ocean has been too rough for me this week, so I will look forward to July when it is usually calmer.

We haven't heard from VC for a while so I hope all is well with her and the doggie clan. Trop also hasn't checked in, or Susan. What we need is a group cruise to get us all together.

OOPS
Just went on line to see when this LPGA Open at the Lancaster Country Club is scheduled for. Somehow missed it in the newspaper article that it isn't until July of 2015. I have plenty of time to plan

Dan...I think you will have plenty of time to line something up to keep June happy while you go to the golf tournament

We just spent all morning in the hospital for Kent to have his gamma globulin infusion. It takes being hooked up to an IV for four hours. If we didn't have this appointment necessary, we probably would have stayed in Florida longer, but this is needed to help the transplant succeed.

Howdy

Glad Kent is continuing to do well. At what point will (or can) he continue routine aftercare to a facility in Florida if needed?

Last week I parred 6 of 9. Today none. Fickle game.

Lois, hoping for good status reports from you .

Dan, I admire your advance planning .

Who's got a cruise coming up next? We're not until September.

Bob... There isn't a hospital or center anywhere near us that deals with lung transplants. They have some facilities in Tampa, Miami and Jacksonville, but we wouldn't feel comfortable going someplace else.

Isn't the news of that tornado just awful. I have heard 50 confirmed dead and more to come, plus the wide spread destruction is just heart breaking. There seem to be so many natural disasters that we just can't do anything about. Those killer tornados are horrible.

Howdy

We had to get GG shots to go to Nam. I got mine when I arrived. They were oil based and man of us stood for a few days I think my Vietnamese nurse was VC.

Lois, a good cruising friend of mine posted today that she has now lost over 51 pounds-WW and a lot of exercise. She was very disciplined-even on a cruise. Hope you do well too.

Finally started pounding the driver today-am consistently hitting further than even my best shots with previous club. Only bad part is I am now running out of excuses.

Susan, are you looking at Viking?

Hasta luego
