Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter and Ferry Question

Hello Everyone! I am new here as if you couldn't tell :o and I have a question that may seem strange. I have booked this excursion after emailing a rep at Blue Lagoon asking what the ferry looks like taking us over from the cruise dock to the Dolphin Encounter. My main concern was what it was like getting into and out of the ferry. My husband will be in a collapsible wheelchair and can only take a few steps. This is what the rep said in an email " Depending on the tide he might have to take about 1 to 3 steps to get on the boat. The distance from the boat to the Dolphin Encounter area is about 75 feet ( if he has a wheelchair he can use it there). For the interaction program we have a submergible wheelchair whereas he can take part in this program. The is a flat platform with rails that he has to walk down to get to the dolphins then about 3 steps." Has anyone done this excursion person, be them able-bodied or physically challenged? I just want someone who has been there opinion on how to get in and out of the boat (pictures as I haven't been able to find any). My husband could hang on to me and rails if they are available. Our trip is planned for October so if I do need to cancel I could.

Thanks and sorry this is such a long, drawn out post:rolleyes:
