transport to port from Nanjing Rd hotel

Hi,

We will be finishing a land tour in Shanghai, prior to boarding the Millenium in April 2015. We will be at the Shanghai JC Mandarin.

Does anyone have suggestions for a car service to the port. And how much might it cost?

A simple taxi (they use the meter) will do. If you really want to pay up, the hotel will have a driver take you at 3-4 times the cost of a taxi.

As some taxi drivers may have never been to the cruise port, be prepared to inform the driver exactly where to go. The hotel staff can help you with this by writing it out in Chinese for the driver and hotel staff can verbally confirm with the driver that he knows where to go. :)

Just back from Shanghai and stayed at the Grand Central Hotel just off Nanjing Road near the Bund. Our trip from the port (Baoshan) to our hotel was approx 125 Yuan I believe. We used a metered taxi. Your hotel concierge will write down the info for you in Chinese..you'll find it's very easy to get around in Shanghai by taxi using this method.
