What are the best inexpensive hotels to use overnight for a cruise out of the Port of Miami.

I'm looking for a hotel that has a shuttle to the ship. Is a hotel around the airport a good idea?

Holiday Inn, Bayside is good.. close to port..not too expensive. A cab is about $12....to port Few hotels have shuttles...do not let that dissuade you.

The LaQuinta Airport East is reasonable, rooms are not bad, free shuttle to port and free parking for cruise. Return shuttle is $10/person. We have used it a couple of times and had no complaints.

We always stay at the Hilton at the airport... sometime you can get good rates. Taxis are the best option, from the airport... not expensive it is not that far.

Do post this on the Florida Departure Board as CruiserBruce recommended. This question comes up often there.
