Funniest/Most Meomorable moment on a cruise

What are some of those moments that are the most memorable for you that you've had on a cruise?

One of mine was a guy that had a prosthetic leg that was on our cruise. I didnt really think anything of it until formal night when he was completely dressed up in a pirate outfit complete with a wooden leg! I thought he had a great sense of humor and loved the fact that he had fun with his prosthetic leg. So i couldn't resist and had to ask him if I could get a picture with a real pirate and of course he said yes.

My most funny moment was when my uncle ( who is a double leg amputee ) was using his wheel chair at the time sitting on lido using his prosthetic as a beer holder ( he had it off sitting next to the chair) and asked a waiter to bring him some ice to keep it cold... If you could have seen the look on the waiters face.... Priceless

My husband was walking down 5th deck corridor - there were 2 guys in the disco yanking at the door - they couldn't get out and were panicking. My husband goes over to help and he is pulling and pushing at the door and it wouldn't budge. He calls a pretty Carnival lady over to help - she smiles, leans past him and SLIDES the door open. The three burly guys ever so quietly slunk away. This was 4 cruises ago and he still tells the story.

Funniest moment was on my last cruise when the waiters were dancing in the dining room and a passenger decided to hop onto his table and join in. They stopped the music and had to escort the guy back to his seat. Very funny.

A few trips back, I brought groucho glasses for everyone attending our meet and greet, as an ice-breaker. One of the fellas came up w/ the inspired idea of arranging to have the ship's photographer meet up w/ our group in the dining room on the final formal nite. We all posed on the spiral staircase leading from the 1st to 2nd level, in our finery and wearing the glasses.

My favorite cruise photo hands down.

I told the bartender at the atrium bar all the urns lining the staircase were filled with the remains of old sea captains who would spend the rest of time on the high seas. The look on his face was priceless! Later I told him I made that up.

When I cruised again a few months later he saw me and gasped, glanced at the urns and laughed.

My most memorable cruise experience happened on an excursion to the Appleton Rum Estate from Falmouth, Jamaica. We were sailing on the Freedom of the Seas for our honeymoon. I hadn't been feeling well after eating the lunch and was drinking a lot of water to help myself feel better. BIG mistake. I had to pee so bad on the way back. Of course there aren't rest stops every 50 miles like here in the US. It was a 2 hour ride down a very bumpy, narrow road. I was almost in tears when I finally spoke up that I just couldn't wait. Our tour guide, Verona, was lovely and brought me into a Jamaican tax collector's office and begged them to let me use their restroom. It was awful at the time but now I laugh about it! Those are the experiences that make the best stories.

Many memorable cruise experiences, highlights--

80yo FIL winning the Hairy Chest contest for the third time. Everybody knowing his name, high-fiving him etc. MIL was skulking the whole cruise after that, lol.

Male and female friends cruising together. Both tall with some meat on their bones, wearing bunny ears the whole cruise. They went head-to-head in the Karaoke contest final. She sang a beautiful ballad. He brought the house down, wearing bunny ears, singing "Baby hit me one more time" by Brittany Spears. He won.

Sticker Ladies on MLK weekend on the Paradise for several years. They would stick funny, obnoxious stickers on everybody.

...and good neighbors, went on their first cruise many years ago. After a night of drinking, they staggered back to their inside cabin.

In the middle of the night, the husband had a full bladder and had to go. With the lights out, he staggered his way to the bathroom and closed the door. To his surprise, he found himself in his birthday suit OUTSIDE the cabin. Not wanting to create any commotion, he knocked and knocked on his cabin door...quietly. No answer. He had to go, but didn't want to walk all the way to the nearest restroom. The only thing he could find was an ashtray on the wall. Well....yes, he did.

A few minutes later, he heard footsteps and saw a couple coming. Yes, the woman was startled.

Next thing he knew, a crew member came and let him inside his cabin. He hasn't been back on another cruise since.

I have to say the funniest, most memorable "picture" that I got was while snorkeling in Cozumel at Chankanaab beach...my, then 3 year old, daughter was looking down in to the water and up came a huge Bermuda Chub and they were looking at each other eye-to-eye and some how I managed to catch it on my camera. We will never forget this and she talks about it all the time.

I was sailing the Inside Passage on the Cruise West ship, Spirit of '98. It's a small vessel - holding about 100 passengers. It was raining steadily and pretty cold out as it was late April. Everyone was inside keeping warm and dry and I'm out on the open deck all by myself in the pouring rain.

A humpback whale was next to the ship putting on quite a show. He was blowing bubbles, breaching and slapping the water with his fins and fluke. This was small ship cruising at its finest. I was eye to eye with this magnificent creature.

I stood there balling my eyes out. This amazing show must have gone on for over an hour, but I don't remember. Time stood still...I just stood there in awe.

On our Holland America Caribbean cruise. We were leaving the theater after the show on formal night. An older couple was in front of us, both probably in their late 70's, early 80's - both dressed as you should on formal night. She has a walker - he has a cane but has hooked his cane on the side support of her walker. He's steadying himself using her walker - with his hand on top of hers.

I told DH I want us to be out traveling the world when we get to that age - and still holding hands.

My husband and I in the elevator from the low level to the top for breakfast buffet. A woman walks in, looks at him, and says YES!! Another floor, another woman, another YES!!

He didn't pay attention to which t-shirt to put on, and neither did I. The words on it were: if a man is alone in the forest, is he still wrong?
