new system

The new NCL system is ugly. It is interesting, I understand that it is actually an outsourced system that had to be changed to meet new TSA and US Immigration requirements, including passport readers, terrorist interfaces and the rest, all having to be integrated in a new central reservations system. When we were on the SKY 2 weeks ago they were hating it, and they were struggling to get the supplier to make the needed changes. They are very aware of the issues and are working diligently to solve them. But, yes it is bad, very bad. I am a software junkie day to day, and this is as ugly of a cutover as I have seen.

I think your right about NCL's computer nightmares when I was trying to book my last cruise it took me about 2 days because NCL's system kept going down. Even if I'm not thrilled with NCL's service I doubt that they would purposely make it difficult to make reservations!

gdries,
Could you check out the "cancelled bus" thread and maybe clarify something for us.
