-Do you have to pay to get on the beach ?

-How is the swimming for kids ?

-Can you rent chairs/umbrella ?

-Any snorkelling at is beach or close by ?

About ten minutes by taxi from the pier, fare about $6 each way, very shallow so ideal for children and non swimmer. Chairs limited so get there early. Can't be too sure but I think you can hire the gear and have windsurfing lessons. Gets very busy if two ships in port.

IT would be ok for kids, but adults and kids need to keep a big lookout for the windsurfers and there are "out of bounds" coral areas. IT is very shallow so kids would need instruction on how far out you will allow them to go ....you can walk VERY far out. And Again, you need to stay alert for windsurfers.

As I recall it was more like 30 minutes from pier. At Jibe City I believe there was equipment rental and likely lessons.
