ms Eurodam and ms Nieuw Amsterdam in Juneau August 21, 2017

Nieuw Amsterdam and Eurodam will be making their Monday stop in Juneau. Nieuw Amsterdam at the CT dock from 1300-2200 and Eurodam at the AS dock from 1300-2200.

Also in port are Ruby Princess (1100-2215) at the FKL dock and Solstice (1330-2200) at the AJ dock.

Rain is predicted in Juneau for 12 of the next 14 days:(. Monday's forecast is for cloudy with periods of rain. High will be 59F/15C and the low will be 54F/12C. Sunrise is at 5:31 am and sunset at 8:28 pm.

OFF- topic** Puppies video on Denali fb page, names to be announced Monday.

 

They are so cute! One of the best excursions I've done was into the Yukon from Skagway. At Caribou Crossing they had two week old sled dog puppies that we could hold.:hearteyes:

Now that the eclipse is over, I can concentrate on dam ships. I was in Florida when the one went over Perry in Mar 1970 - about 90 miles away as the crow flies. It was overcast, we were out of totality and I was not impressed.

 

This viewing - electronically was much better. :D and cheaper than travelling.

 

AIS is behind again - Eurodam should be almost to Thane.

Saw the partial from my front porch with special glasses - pretty cool to see - Looked like a "Halve Maen" (Half Moon)
