Junkanoo Beach vs Melia Day Pass

Have been by Junkanoo and have been to the Melia many times. (When it was the Sheraton also.)

Junkanoo didn't appeal to us so we went to the Melia. We just got a day pass without food and didn't eat much there- they had a snack area in the lobby when we were there. We had a big breakfast on the ship and a late snack when we got back. We stayed about 4 hours.

Melia has nice pools and a good stretch of Cable Beach, plus all the amenities.

Been reading up on beaches in Nassau. Seems like either Melia/Wyndham day pass or Junkanoo for us.

One thing that is important to us is shade. Doesn't look like either has much shade, are umbrellas available at either?
