Good stingray excursion

I want to take my (then) 8 year old daughter on a stingray excursion when we cruise in 2012 and want to book privately rather than through Carnival. Any recommendations? Or would I be better off saving this for Antigua?

When we were at Jost Van Dyke there were several Southern Stingray's right along the beach that we were able to snorkel with; but I don't remember seeing any tours offered from NCL for stingray excursions; nothing like Stingray City on Grand Cayman.

We did the stingray excursion in Antigua when we were there in March and had a fantastic time. Probably one of the best excursions we did that cruise. This is a thumbs up for Antigua if you decide to do that there rather than Tortola.
