Cocoa Balls

I got back from a cruise in Grenada and bought some cocoa balls. Does anyone have any direction on how to make hot cocoa with them? I tried boiling them in hot water and they did not dissolve completely and tasted awful. I must be doing something wrong.

I don't recall exactly what we were told to do. I think we were supposed to boil one in water (serves 4 or cut it in half to serve 2) until it's all melted and then strain it. It's not sweetened at all so you would then add your own milk and honey or sugar. Try Google to see if there are instructions.

I just brought some back from my awesome tour with Stan Grainger (JnJ Tours) a couple days ago. Here are the directions from the pamphlet I was given (I haven't tried it yet). Drop 1 cocoa ball into 3 to 5 cups water. Allow to boil for 5minutes, strain, add milk and sugar to taste. Good luck.
