La Romana - DR... Beach Question

This port doesn't seem to be near any beaches. That our typical port days, finding a close by beach and relaxing.

Any suggestions for a beach from this port with drink service? We don't mind a small drive to get to an acceptable beach, just not longer than 15 minutes or so. If this is not available at this port we may just stay aboard.

No, sorry. But there are several excellent independent excursions available, both land-based and water-based. Some folks will go to Dreams La Romana and use their facilities, but what a waste with all of the natural beauty and gorgeous beaches within reach!

You may be able to go to Catalina Island through the ship and use that beach with everyone else, or perhaps through a tour out of Casa De Campo. Nice beach and there are the usual amenities there...

How long and how much did it cost by cab

from the Pier to Dreams?

Dreams resort does day pass with drinks for $65. They are 25min. from port. i have not been able to get any taxi service to respond to my emails to find out price.

The Seavis Tours excursion to Saona Island includes a small powerboat ride to beautiful Catauno Beach on Saona, followed by a fun stop at the Natural pool with the starfish and Cuba libre. Check their site for details, cab ride is organized for you and inexpensive.
