What do you wish you had made time for?

I've been going through old cruise pictures and just realized that I have never been out on deck after dark. We have always had a balcony, and between that and running around to the nightly activities, we never bothered to get out on the top deck after sun down. So I'm going to make a point to see the pool area and outside promenade decks at night next time around. Plus start a list of those other little things I wish I had done in hindsight!:p

What are some of the things you didn't get a chance, or forgot, to do that is on your list for the next time?

Just chill. My first cruises I was so delightfully overwhelmed with all of the activities, I hardly ever just sat still. I want to do that for a change in the evening instead of wearing myself out each day completely.

Last cruise we totally missed out on movie in the movie theater. Something we like to do on sea days.

Last cruise was also first time I ever tried the swimming pool or a hot tub.

High on agenda of things we've not made time for but will next time is fitness center.

Also have missed Solarium time.

-Stargazing (although I have been on the top deck at night, quite a thrill to see pure darkness, absolutely no distinction between where the water ends and the sky begins. Amazing.)

-Flowrider

-Rockwall

-Iceskating

-Zip line (What I regret most! :()

-Seeing a sunset/sunrise at sea! (Saw the sunrise at Nassau)

-Formal night (Dont like dressing up, but I will do it for the next cruise to eat that lobster!)

I keep missing playing the miniature golf.

Spend more time in a hot tub.

I've never climbed the rock wall or gone to breakfast or lunch in the MDR. All of these Royal Caribbean cruises and we've never done the Flowrider and rock wall. We can never seem to drag ourselves away from the pool deck on a pretty day.

Heck, we've done pretty much all the stuff mentioned. Want to make the star gazing a priority next cruise though. And more time out on our balcony. We've been too busy to spend enough time out there looking at the stars...or someone has always left the light on:mad:

I had a hard time sleeping one night and at about 4am decided to walk around the deck. It was beautiful and so quiet. It's the only time you won't see someone in the pool! I was surprised by how many crew members I saw, poor folks. It seemed that was also the time when they cleaned the deck. It was so nice to be able to peacefully walk around and look out at the dark sea with no one around us.

Staying on the ship while in port. I'm always ready to get off and get busy...after all....isn't that why we stop??

One of the stops in April will be in Coz and we've been many times, but since we were just there in December we're going to try to stay on the ship and enjoy the quietness.

Enjoy it! We did this once and it was great. Nice and peaceful, no crowds by the pool and it's a good time to go to the spa for discounts.

By the end of the cruise, I often have a small list of "I wish I'd done..." things that I just never got around to. You know, though, they don't bother me a bit because I have a huge list of "I'm so glad that I did..." things that kept me blissfully occupied.

One of these days I will try the ice skating, though! That's still on my to-do list.

I must try this.

I've never used the pool at night. Come to think of it, aside from the late night pool/deck parties they had on AOS - I am never on the outside deck at night at all  I'm going to make a point of enjoying a cocktail under the stars when I am on the Freedom in a few weeks :D

I'm an early riser normally but as soon as I get on a ship, I try to burn the candle at both ends: get up early for excursions and stay up late for shows, casino, Quest, etc., with a nap in the afternoon. It's exhausting just typing all that.

This cruise I will not try to change my body clock. My aim is to:

* rise early to go up on deck to watch the sunrise and the ship pull into port.

* take advantage of the early rise to walk for exercise. no treadmill.

* not feel compelled to do activities in every port. I'm thinking Labadee will not see my pretty face.

* spend a few hours just walking the ship doing an art scavenger hunt.

Things I would love to do:

-Stargaze from the helipad

-Do a few more activities on the ship (did quite a few last year)

-walk out on deck at night

-see an ice show. (have seen the theater production)

-watch Quest

My final and biggest one Attempt the FlowRider!!

My boyfriend has done it as well as my BIL but I haven't attempted it yet!

Always plan to play mini golf, and never do. And, need to go to the nightclub for some dancing. By the time we get up early, do excursions, beach, pool, activities, dinner, shows, casino, ready for bed! Exhausting, don't want to miss anything. I need a vacation after our cruising, so I can rest! :D :D
