Here is a email I received from Martinique Promotion Bureau in New York City about the ferry to Anse DuFour and getting to Anse Dufour.

Bonjour Mr Wolfe:

We thank you very much for your interest in Martinique and are delighted that you will soon visit our destination on a cruise next winter.

Regarding your request for accessibility to Anse Dufour from Fort de France, there are two major options available:

- You could take a taxi ride from Fort-de-France port to Anse Dufour. It take about 60 min to 75 min. Taxis are equipped with meters but the ride one way costs around 80 euros.

- Another option is to take the ferry from Fort-de-France Bay to Pointe du Bout resort area (a 20-min ride for a fee of 6.50 euros round-trip) and from there, you could take a taxi to Anse Dufour. It will cost you around 16 euros one way.

Sincerely,

Valerie Vulcain

Getting to Anse Le Anne is simple. From there we found it impossible to find a taxi or bus, but we did find a ride. And this is simply the best way to get to Anse du Four:

take the ferry to Anse Le Anne and walk out to the main road, turn left and go to the first little shopping center on the left. In there on the right is a dive shop/ gift shop called Dauphin a Fleur. The owner will be happy to give you a ride to Anse Dufour and pick you up (I think she charged us 20$ USD). She was awesome to us and I highly recommend her as the best, if not only, way to easily get to anse dufour coming in from a cruise ship. The snorkeling here was the best of our trip.
