Where will the Westerdam dock (or tender) on Maui?

I suspect that the reason for tendering in Lahaina has something to do with the location of the tourist shops. The Kahului port is in an industrial area.

 

To be honest, our vacations to Maui are on the island rather than from a cruise ship. No way would I be satisfied with a quick port stop on this island.

On Pride of America we overnighted in Maui in Kahului. It worked out well - close to the airport for rental cars and if I remember correctly, they ran free shuttles to shopping areas.
