I second the Lands End suggestion. I am a 34DD and I am able to find suits that don't look too "granny style". The suits also come in torso lengths. You can also buy mix and match pieces.

Another vote for landsend, I've bought only their swimsuits for years. Prices are great right now, although selection is getting somewhat limited due to time of year. I just bought the Carmela "slender suit" and really like it. This style comes on a number of styles including D, DD, DDD, Mastectomy, and Regular.

I too have a heck of a time finding anything being a F cup, it is really trying, I have a couple I brought with my from UK but can't find anything here at all.

I am on the hunt now as we leave in the next few weeks and larger swimsuit sizes look they were designed for Queen Victoria!

I guess I am lucky because I am in the UK, I wear a 34F and have a couple of different tankini's with built in underwire. I tend to buy mine from ebay though, as there are several sellers that have brand new ones at a much better price than some of the original companies.

I would suggest looking at Freya, Panache and Fantasie swimwear if you're willing to try the ebay route. Don't forget to allow for the difference in sizes

I feel your pain. I went ahead with a swim bra from HerRoom.com and found some lovely suits a swimsuitsforall.com

Did you try those places?

Not sure if these will be any use but have you tried Figleaf.com or bravissimo?
Hope you find what you are looking for

Still looking for something nice, found a lovely one in purple and got excited, but they only had it upto a DD.

Another thing that is a pain is the price you have to pay for underwear/swimwear if you have big boobs!

I know it's terrible! I closed my eyes for a few of them and just bought it. I'm afraid to tell DH how much I spent just on bathing suits.

I was going to recommend Figleaves too. They have a great return policy (ship to their US address and they'll forward it the UK for you) so you can order a couple of sizes to try on without paying for international return postage.

Both companies sell by bra sizes for those who are well-endowed but don't need plus size clothing which means stylish suits that support well. Neither company is cheap, but they are definitely worth every penny.

Update.

I was amazed to find a few in Marshall's yesterday.

I bought them all (6) and had a trying on session at home, might have 1 or 2 and 4/5 to take back but I will get at least one and they were down to $12.50 from $179 rrp on original tag. So it is a start.

I am happy to pay hundreds of dollars for shoes and purses but not on swimwear! One costume I found on line was quite plain and they wanted $250....no way Jose!

I'm so glad you found something good! I love bargain hunting for items.

They maybe aren't the prettiest of costumes but to be honest at home in our own pool I wear bikini, however I am much more comfortable tucking them away in a costume in public.
