Question Trying to get price reduction PROBLEM NEED HELP

So my cruise fare dropped a few hundreds dollars over the past few days. I sent in the form to get my price reduction thinking it it would be no problem. A day later I received a e-mail saying that I booked through a travel agent and she needed to send in the request.I called my TA and she sent the form in by the way the same form as I sent but from her travel agent e-mail address with her cooperate logo on it. A day later she got a reply directed back at me the customer saying the same thing my e-mail said. You need to have a TA send in the request. So now she has resubmitted the form and we are waiting to hear back from Carnival. Last night I looked again and my rate dropped another $100.
So I guess we will need to resubmit it after we get the first reduction. My question is does my TA have to send in a different form then I did? This just seems way harder then it should be what happened to a phone call from the TA and the OBC being applied.

I don't know if it's a different form or not, but your TA needs to handle this. She should call RCCL. NOW!!!
Next time you book do it yourself, ... or get another TA.
Good luck!

I don't think that you have to wait for the first one to go through to submit the next one (well, for your TA to submit the next one). It sounds like the TA may have to use a different form.

Make sure your TA calls them first thing this morning to clarify what form she/he is supposed to send in. There must be a different form needed from them. This is messing with your money, and no way do you want to miss out on it. Be sure to save a "screen-shot" for future reference, if needed. Don't lose out on this money.

Sorry but your TA does not sound like she knows much about Carnival.

TAs have a TA Early Saver form they have to fill out found on the Carnival TA web site.

Your TA should handle this no problem. Only advantage to having a TA is to handle stuff like this for you. Take screen shot of lowest price and it will happen. Just keep trying.

This happened to me on my last cruise. TA submitted a price reduction, I received an email saying I needed to have my TA send it in...well duh she did and trust me was not her first time sending in a price reduction, she had done several for me already.

TA had to resubmit price reduction and she put in a note stating that this was second time submitting it and that they had sent it back for me submitting it and she stated she was my TA. Well, it did go through but did take several days.

Carnival makes mistakes (sometimes more often than not HUGE mistakes). Your TA does have a TA price reduction form that is different than the one an individual sends in but I am sure your TA knows this.

Go ahead and get a hold of your TA and tell her there is another price reduction and have her submit another one.

Don't forget to take a screen shot of the price drop!

Hope everything works out.

The OP wrote that her TA sent in the same form as she did through email.
The TA form is on on Carnival's TA web site and you do not send it in through email. Also with the TA form, the frist part of the form the TA is to fill out with their info, the the second part of the form the TA fills out with the clients info. No need to write on it that you are a TA because Carnival alread knows that from the TA info they filled out in the first part of the form.

I do it by holding down the CTRL button and then the "print screen" button. Then I paste it in the program Microsoft Paint then save it.

I never said that you email the form...I said my TA had to resubmit the form with a note saying that she was my TA and was second time submitting. Evidently my TA did have to make a note saying she was my TA because Carnival rejected it stating that I had sent it in which I did not. She did use the correct form. I guess my point was that it is possible for the TA to submit the correct form and for an email to come back stating that I needed to have my TA do it even though she did.

If the TA emailed Carnival instead of submitting the correct form then that would be a different story. I guess OP needs to find out if TA is submitting the right form.

Definitely keep a screen shot of any price drops, just in case it takes a while and the price goes back up.

No where on here did I see that the OP is booked on ESA. If he is not booked on that fare, no matter who submits the form, there is not going to be an OBC for price reduction etc.

OP, did you book ESA?
