I asked a similar question when I was recently on a Fred Cruise. It was denied, but they did say that over the next few months or so all of the ships are in for a refit and they are spending, from memory, £15million

As a regular on Fred. Olsen ships (36 cruises taken and two more booked!) I am used to these rumours which usually amount to nothing. Although the "Oriana" is a lovely ship I am not sure it would fit into FOCL's policy of sailing from a wide range of ports in the UK. In addition, its passenger carrying capacity of circa 1870 would simply be too great unless they were to part company with their oldest ships "Black Watch" and "Boudicca".

I may well be wrong but if FOCL were to return to a 5-ship fleet I would have thought they would look for a smaller ship.

We shall see. :)
