Sons Honeymoon to St. Lucia - Should I buy insurance

Hi,

My son & future daughter-in-law are getting married this Saturday and flying from MI to St. Lucia for their honeymoon. They are 23 & 28.

They do not want to spend any additional money on trip insurance. But I am worried that if they don't have it they will need it.

I looked on tripinsurancestore.com and I can get Global Alert Preferred for 217.00 for both of them. I paid for their flight & resort with Delta AMEX and I called and they do not offer automatic insurance with the caard.

Should I buy it for them? I have to make a decision because there is too much to do for the wedding and I am running out of time.

Accidents happen. For a couple hundred bucks you get peace of mind. Do it for you.

I am thinking the same thing. When we buy insurance we hope we don't need to use it. But if something happens and its covered then it can make a bad situation better. Thank you!

They both have health insurance through their employers and I am not sure of the coverage. The problem is neither one of the them think additional insurance is necessary. They are young and haven't traveled much and they do not want to spend any additional money. I'm inclined to spend the 220 just for peace of mind for myself. I am going to call this morning and see what benefits I lose due to booking so late. They are leaving this Sunday. Thank you for your feedback.
